Diesel Engine Course

The objective of the course is to be aware of the main systems of a marine diesel engine.  To be able to prevent breakdown at sea and rectifying defects not requiring workshop support.

The breakdown of the course looks like:

• The principles of two and four stroke engine operation

• The difference between Petrol and Diesel engine operation

• Construction of engines

• The role of air in the combustion process
