Wanting to charter a yacht but don't have the license? Look no further, our 2-week intense course is designed to get you out on the water with your friends & family as quickly and safely as possible.

The ratio of student to instructor is Max 4:1 (usually 3:1)

Pre Course Requirements
There are no pre-course requirements for this course as it is designed for beginners wishing to progress rapidly to Day Skipper level. Whether you choose to study the Theory with us in the classroom or online, on completion you will have key skills that will aid in your next sailing adventure!
Our advice is to pick up the RYA Day Skipper Handbook and have a stress free read through so you are familiar with some of the vocabulary used on yachts.
Course Syllabus
The RYA Day Skipper Fast Track is essentially 2 Practical Courses back to back. Your first week you will complete the RYA Competent Crew course and then after a weekend off (or in the classroom if you are doing the Theory with us) you will go on to complete the RYA Day Skipper Practical course. By the end of an intensive 2 weeks, you will have the confidence and ability for that first charter.

Sailors are exposed to the elements and must always be prepared for 4 seasons. Due to limited storage on board, we always recommend you bring lightweight clothing to suit all possible weather scenarios. Key things to bring include;

Post Course
After being awarded your Day Skipper License you will be ready for your first charter. Once you have some more sailing miles under your belt you will be ready to take on the RYA Coastal Skipper course! As Coastal Skipper, you will have the knowledge and skills to skipper a yacht on longer passages and at night.
